A SOLUTION TO GUN VIOLENCE
Gun Violence in America is a major health crisis- a viral threat to us all. SHOT: We The People (SWTP) seeks a cure by bringing people together sharing their experiences, fears and solutions in a new open forum. There is common ground and agreement about gun safety and responsible intervention to stop this epidemic of killings and injury. We need not be divided by politicians and special interest groups but rather see and hear what each other has to contribute to the cure. We know that change cannot happen overnight and it can't happen without your support.
SWTP is a digital archive offering user interaction with crowd sourced media - audio, video, text and photographs. The archived content reflects upon common concerns of Americans whose lives have been impacted by gun violence. Anyone and everyone can contribute to the site. All will be able to download anything and everything from the site for presentations, talks, conferences, exhibits, and advocacy.
Time and time again we find that there is a lack of community and a place where those affected by gun violence can reach out to others. We've experienced this sentiment from survivors, friends and family members of victims, from EMS workers, trauma surgeons and veterans, from parents of children and teachers who are conducting “lockdown drills” across America. All of them want to be heard, and want to bring their voices to the forefront to change the one directional conversation of powerful interest groups.
Please take a moment to click and view the functionality video for our brand new platform.
SWTP asks you to join us in support of the mission as we seek to raise the funds needed to complete the construction of this new interactive platform. The goal is to raise $25,000 by September 2019 to complete the design and platform work necessary to launch the site, and an additional $250,000 within the next 18 months to grow and maintain this platform. Contributions of all sizes are welcome and greatly appreciated. SWTP is a 501(c)3 and all contributions are fully tax deductible.
In addition, a special Circle of Contributors will be recognized as our SWTP Founders Circle. Please consider a donation at one of the following levels:
Thank you for your support. Together we will make a difference. Please forward this message to other advocates for change.
Sincerely,
